“Belonging, passion, love — this is what defines the Culinary Art School of Villa La Maggiorana.”
Each course is a guided journey through taste and sensory experiences, experimenting with the most sophisticated culinary techniques. We will take you on a journey through a world of authentic flavours, refined compositions and essential lines.
You will learn secrets to treasure over time and enjoy moments of nourishment for the soul, surrounded by the warmth of our home and our smiles. The recipes range from traditional versions of the great classics of Italian cuisine to more daring reinterpretations, created and developed by Erica Maggiora.
The raw materials are of the highest quality, with a preference for collaborations with food companies in the Piedmont region. Particular attention is paid to the choice of extra virgin olive oil, selected by the Italian company Guido 1860 srl, which creates blends of exclusively Italian cultivars.
Founded in 1973 by Elena Chissotti Maggiora, the first cooking school in Piedmont continues today under the guidance of Erica and Camilla Maggiora.
Our classes are more than lessons: they’re immersive journeys through Italian and Piedmontese gastronomy.
Students learn to transform ingredients into art — from timeless classics to creative reinterpretations — in an atmosphere of warmth, elegance, and joy.
At her side, Erica began to take her first steps, inspired by her mother. She also graduated as a Cordon Bleu chef at just 19 years of age and enriched her experience by working in the kitchens of illustrious masters such as Gualtiero Marchesi.
In 1999, the school was reborn in Rivoli under the name ‘La Maggiorana’, reflecting the family surname and the herb of the same name used in cooking. Erica’s recipes combine French, Italian and Piedmontese culinary traditions, enriched by her mother’s heritage.
In 2004, the school moved into the family home in Rivoli, with a well-attended inauguration and a major artistic and culinary event. The La Maggiorana School of Culinary Arts was finally at home, representing the closing of a circle traced by three generations.
The activities of the school are numerous, including internal initiatives and collaborations with renowned names in the food & events scene. The unmistakable signature of Erica Maggiora, with her class, her cultural background and creativity in the kitchen, characterises every experience.
